Stephen went to Camelot that evening to get a better understanding of the patrons and the situation within the Castle walls. While he was there he spoke at length to a young female who had identified herself as "First Knight." Now that idea intrigued him. He had always heard of Camelot as a powerful fortress with the likes of Sir Lancelot, Sir Draygus, Sir Gawaine and Blackhawke as first knights. Had the Castle fallen to such depths or was she that good. Stephen chuckled as he thought that time will tell.
The next morning Stephen drew the coin out that he had laid on the table and it was the same one the young lady had held. His lips barely moved as he spoke, "appareo." Shortly thereafter a wispy form appeared before him. "Spirit ... What did you learn?" A very melodic voice spoke, "magic and she is of magical blood." Stephen quickly squeezed in the next question. "her source?" "Crystal!" Then as quickly the spirit vanished and Stephen placed the coin back into his tunic pocket. Walking slowly about the courtyard he mused. "That would explain why she held such office. While he saw two experienced fighters, Magic was the new norm, gone were the hack and slash of those before her." Turning Stephen hollered for one of his men. As the man drew near, Stephan shouted ... "Get the Mage here as soon as possible." The man stopped, wheeled about and then headed for his mount which he mounted and quickly departed the castle.
Stephen then dispatched a man to the Druidic teaching center on Anglesey, "summon the son of Cuchulainn, have him come here as quickly as possible." The man responded and quickly departed. Stephen then walked over to the large tree and started the incessant sharpening of his sword as he did when he wanted to think. Hearing the shouts of their leader they watched him sit down with the sword and knowing better they maintained their distance.
